Most of us have heard about credit card number being stolen and some email has stolen the information from a specific computer. Today we or we can say most of the population relies on computer and computer based devices and it ranges from communication on phone to satellite. It means computer is acting as a helping hand to human and serving as servant and sometime master of human mind and wisdom.
The most important thing is Information stored in a computer of an organization. But if someone try to use these information without a legal permission, is quoted as a cybercrime. I think everyone will be familiar with the Word “Crime” and every crime have the same end that is punishment .But even knowing this as a crime, people around the world are committing such crime either by hacking password of system or by hacking personal information like credit card number or online banking password for illegal purchase. This is not the only thing, there are many such risk like some virus erases your whole data and someone breaks in to your system and someone is using your computer to attack other. Such snags in each country are being taken as a national threat and due to this government of many countries have established many agencies to safeguard information from cyber-attacks.
Intensity and sophistication of cybercrime and other cyber threats are advancing in next generation and some countries are taking advantages and breaching in the locker of important information like satellite enrichment technology one such example is WIKIleaks. So this is very important to the Government and for public bodies to think about the problem of hacking and malicious virus attack, should work together to encounter such sever glitches . In this government will have to come forward to create a reliable metrics for cyber security. But this is not enough, as a social being it’s our duties to learn some tips and tricks to hamper such practices at some levels” Prevention is better than cure ” and here are some tips and trick that is necessary to everyone to learn.
1. We should keep our personal details on social networks private because this may leads to identity theft
2. We should keep our operating system and software update because security setting in operating system keeps us safe from various cyber threats
3. System should be installed with Anti Viruses and firewalls and must be up to date with daily updates
4. We should have back-up of information regularly
5. We should scrutinize our bank details regularly and must check unknown transaction
