When you first begin practicing meditation you will probably have
exceptional experiences where your mind becomes so still that you experience a level of peace that is
far beyond what you are used to. The trap most people fall into is thinking that you have finally made
it, "yes I've discovered the secret to life, I can find peace any time anywhere by meditating" which is
true, but the problem is that eventually your mind takes over again, thoughts rush back in, you
get lost in your mental chatter, confused, irritable etc. Then you think to yourself, Ok I'm going
to solve this problem by meditating. But today is much harder, peace seems to illude you. And your
frustrated because you thought you'd made it to paradise once and for all, and now your back in.... whtever.
There's no need to panic about this. For some time you will still be
"falling back" into your old habitual over thinking - but stick to your meditation practice. your "bad"
days will get less and less over time, be patient and consistent. The key to remember is to always
accept whatever you are feeling. When you allow your feeling of "failure", it dissolves. and then the good things emerges from the heart automatically gradually u find out the best think that u deserves.
